the object

there was no print shop and no fulfillment house. every copy was made on the kitchen table.

i printed the cover art on translucent stock, printed and cut the card inserts, folded each glassine envelope by hand with a boning tool, cut the display windows, and cut small leather wheels and clasps so each one ties closed with a length of string. then numbered them, one through twenty-five.

how each one was made

01 printed the cover art on translucent stock, so the trees sit over the blue shell of the tape.

02 printed the card stock inserts, tracklist and credits on the reverse.

03 hand-folded each envelope from glassine, creased with a boning tool for a clean edge.

04 hand-cut the window on the front so the art shows through.

05 cut leather wheels and clasps by hand, strung so each sleeve ties shut.

06 numbered by hand, one through twenty-five.
